They aim to draw links across these different levels of analysis, and to build explanations of decision-making that account for both people's choices and the neural mechanisms underlying those choices. The Lab employs an interdisciplinary approach to tackle these questions, drawing on methods and ideas from social and cognitive neuroscience, experimental economics, and personality psychology. Research in the Kable Lab seeks to understand how people make decisions, and to trace out the psychological and neural mechanisms of choice. Joe lives with his wife, Megan, and their three children in Cinnaminson, New Jersey where he coaches youth soccer and baseball.Joseph Kable is Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Joe is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. During his time at Temple, he was an editor of the Temple Law Review. ![]() Joe received his law degree from Temple University. ![]() Joe graduated from Holy Family University with a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and worked in the molecular pathology laboratory at Temple University Hospital before going to law school at Temple University. With that hard work and dogged determination, Joe has been able to secure great results for his clients, whether through settlement or verdicts at trial. Those lessons have formed Joe’s legal career as one grounded in working hard and fighting for his clients who have been injured and left to deal with the devastation that often follows for those clients and their families. Joe was born and raised in Philadelphia by his dad, a plumber, who taught him the value of hard work, and his mother, a nurse, who taught him compassion for those who are suffering. Joe has had articles published in the National Law Review and has been recruited to speak at seminars involving personal injury matters and the laws that affect those cases. ![]() Joe has successfully tried matters throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
